The VSystem is built on the foundation of our patented EOS elliptical oscillation drive gears. This revolutionary oscillation system offers superior line lay while maintaining unmatched stability. Due to the elliptical shape of the gears, they are constantly engaged during the two stroke oscillation. The VSystem also features the new Dual Drag Force system, DFD. In addition to the traditional multi-disk system it has a large drag system mounted beneath the spool, which by equalizing the drag force stabilizes and dissipates heat, promising a smooth drag under extreme tensions. This extra oversize drag washer equals the inside diameter of the spool skirt, increasing the range of drag adjustment from normal high pressure to complete “lock up” of the drag, and will be appreciated by anglers using braid. The larger models have been tested successfully to drag pressures beyond normal comprehension. Okuma’s “AlumiLite” aluminium body, rotor & spool construction virtually eliminates reel “flex” and retains the precision alignment of all internal parts when the reel is under load.
