Or perhaps you’d rather troll the shelf line for tuna, & small billfish? Even stop over a promising wreck & drop a knife jig down to the depths? Either way, the Solterra combos can do it all for you. Relatively new to the market; Okuma brings a combination of elegance, strength & durability, the Okuma Solterra. The Okuma Solterra range of graphite rods were designed with versatility in mind – suitable for all forms of sport and game styles from reef fishing and trolling to jigging and live baiting, featuring a full array of high quality ALPS components including ALPS guides as well as an ALPS alloy tri reel seat and alloy gimbal. Built complete with ergonomically shaped EVA grips and constructed with Okuma’s superior graphite blank technology. The Solterra overhead reels run on a six bearing system with Quick-Set anti reverse, they offer a positive hold with their power grip handle and the machined aluminium spool and side plates provide maximum strength where it is needed most. A magnetic drag assist / cast control feature on the left side plate offers an attribute that not many other lever drag overhead reels possess allowing free spool to be adjusted and even cast if necessary.
